Sew Mama Sew Giveaway Day

First of all, welcome! How fun is this? I've always wanted to be a part of the fun. And now, here we are.

This past Christmas, I got to spend a lot of time with my cousin and my auntie. We spent a lot of time together, while my uncle was in the hospital. And I learned how to crochet. Life changing! And so much fun!

For my giveaway, I want to give some the chance to have fun too! To learn a new craft. I'm giving away this little set, and some additional yarn! 5 skeins of "I Love This Yarn."

You have until May 29th, at midnight PST. Open to the USA only. Just leave me a link to your favorite online craft shop. For any type of craft. I've got 4 kids, so we're always working on something! Good luck! You should also visit my cousin and my auntie today. I'm just saying... ~Maggie

Oh my gosh! I totally want to learn how to crochet. Thanks for the chance to win. :)

I just started making bows for my 2 girls. (I know. Along with everyone and their dog!) But, it actually has a lot of similarities to sewing. Precision, measuring, manipulating... it's pretty serene really. So I like to go to http://www.etsy.com/shop/HairbowSuppliesEtc. She has great prices and fast shipping. I hope you take a go at it!!

And, I actually know how to chain and single crochet. My friend's mom showed me those in high school, and I have never forgotten. I made an entire (really heavy) blanket in just single crochet. So I would love to learn more stitches and how to actually READ crochet. (It is latin to me right now!!)

I love Fairytale Frocks and Lollipops.com. They have sooo many patterns.

I really do want to learn to crochet - I can knit, but somehow the crochet thing eludes me. Maybe if I had a beginners book I could make it work. I'd love to be able to crochet my own trim for my sewing projects.

It took me years to figure out crochet, nothing really made sense. Finally it dawned on me that I'm not terribly linear, and the patterns I was using were. I started crochetting in amigurumi, or in a spiral and it is so much more fun.

http://freeamigurumipatterns.blogspot.com/
and
http://nerdigurumi.com/category/amigurumi-tutorials-technique
Have free patterns and tutorials that have really helped.

http://www.craftster.org/
is great if you need help or inspiration. Great folks there.

I don't need the prize, but wanted to share my favorites anyway.
